ICEYE is building the world’s largest constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. The satellites can take images at any time of day – even when it’s cloudy or dark – and those images will let our customers understand the world better and make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite in January 2018 and raised over $65M in financing to date.

Position

ICEYE is looking for a Senior Front-end Developer to support their Software Engineering department based in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will be a part of one of our teams responsible for Mission Control or Processing Platform.

Challenges you’ll help us solve:

Our Mission Control team develops the software required to operate a constellation of satellites. This includes the planning system that schedules and optimizes the image acquisitions, as well the ground segment software that allows us to operate and task our satellites interfacing with ground stations around the world. Our Processing Platform team develops the platform to process, access, and offer Satellite data as a product. As a Senior Frontend Developer at ICEYE you will translate design concepts into a functioning, responsive, high-performance web applications and services. You will also provide guidance to more junior team members and help us to achieve high-quality products.

Your qualification

• Expert in Front End technologies (JS, CSS, HTML)
• Good skills in a popular FE framework, preferably React
• Strong experience with REST API usage and design, unit testing

Will be a plus

• Knowledge of Typescript
• Design skills and tooling knowledge
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience working with AWS or any other cloud provider
