About Veriff

Our AI-based product uses computer vision, face comparison, and behavior analysis to make decisions. We help our partners build onboarding processes that ensure good people get things done and bad folks get stopped.
Position
Our machine learning and data science teams are automating identity verification. They have various internal tools to help debug problems, annotate data, catch fraudsters, and more. Effective tooling will allow the teams to deliver more complex models and push the forefront of identity verification. We're looking for a person to make sure our tooling gets the love it needs, via both new features as well as strong development practices. You will communicate, share your vision, bring your own ideas to the table, listen and hear other points of view.
You’ll help us protect honest people online by:
- Working closely with machine learning, fraud, and data annotation teams in Veriff, leading the development of their tooling. You will be:
- improving tools that visualize and show technical info from our machine learning services, so the related teams can find and fix their problems faster
- creating tools that help Veriff´s fraud specialists identify the data points common to fraudsters and define rules that let us block them
- cooperating on systems that let us quickly test our changes on thousands of sessions, seeing how much and for which countries the overall accuracy improved (or not)
- quickly prototyping new ideas and features, sometimes compromising perfection for rapid delivery
- Having the opportunity to act as a force multiplier who could realistically make entire teams 2-3x more efficient
Your qualification
- Strong JavaScript and web development knowledge
- The ability to tell good code from bad, and you’re up to date on best practices in JavaScript world
- Thorough understanding of React and its core principles
- The skills to quickly prototype new ideas, in collaboration with users
- Good command of English and great communication skills
- A product mindset and can come up with new ideas to benefit users
