Position
As Software Designer, you will be part of the entire development lifecycle – from idea generation to system integration. We have a strong team of skilled engineers, who work with embedded software. Your tasks will consist of developing new services, work in the existing software and develop (atomised) tests to ensure code quality.

Right now, we are looking for an Embedded Software Designer
Today, DEIF offers its customers an open platform that enables them to develop applications and run them on DEIFs robust controller platform. This platform is evolving rapidly, and we are now looking for an experienced Software Designer who would like to contribute to the development of this platform and take it to new heights!
“As Software Designer, you will be part of the entire development lifecycle – from idea generation to system integration. We have a strong team of skilled engineers, who work with embedded software. Your tasks will consist of developing new services, work in the existing software and develop (atomised) tests to ensure code quality.
The software department use agile methods life SAFe and SCRUM and work in Sprints of 14 days and release periods of 3 months. You will join our Service team that collaborates with different departments across the organisation.
In addition to an exciting job full of challenging tasks, you will experience a professional work environment, where collaboration, interdependence, and co-determination are watchwords.
Your qualification
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, or similar, with experience in software development for an embedded system.
We primarily use C++ as programming language – occasionally ANSI C. Thus, we expect that you have solid experience with object-oriented programming and that you can work in an agile framework while writing high-quality codes.
Additionally, you have experience with Git or SVN and CI/CD tools. You organise your code in a logical structure, making it easy to maintain and reuse. Prior experience with scripting languages such as Ruby and Python is considered an advantage.
You are motivated by developing smart and user-friendly solutions. You are curious about technology and eager to learn and share knowledge with others. We expect that you communicate effortlessly in English and Danish, both verbally and in writing.
