They're best known for being the developers of the most downloaded mobile game of all time, Subway Surfers, which at last count has over 2 billion downloads worldwide with tens of millions of people playing the game daily. While these are exciting numbers, they're not stopping there!
Position
SYBO is looking for an Art Director to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Be the stylistic authority on a project
- Give feedback to all artists on the team, insuring all assets work together in context of the game and it’s style
- Strive to push artistic level of the team
- In charge of game IP and lore
- Create style-guides
- Be responsible for the final visual product alongside the Lead Artist
Your qualification
- 5+ years game-related experience
- A strong sense of design principles and art theory (color, form, shape, value, etc.) that also matches the SYBO aesthetic
- Strike a good balance between pushing your vision and compromising when needed
- Able to drive skill development for yourself and your team
- Have a willingness to receive and seek out feedback
- Experience with managing and be able to take responsibility for a team
- Interested in free-to-play and mobile games
- Unity, Autodesk Maya and the Adobe CC package experience
- Strong understanding of art pipeline for 2D and 3D
- Worked with art version control system like ex. Git
