Position
Are you an expert engineer able to lead a team, design, and develop systems that enable product development teams to timely deliver products that are stable, scalable, and reliable?
As part of our Product Development Technology organization, you will work as the lead engineer on a new team owning and supporting the LEGO Digital Design platform.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide solutions to automate product deployment to end users, with a focus on security and user experience
- Create and maintain a framework to enable data-driven decisions across the organization
- Own the technical solution alignment for a visual testing framework supporting desktop applications
- Work agile in a multi-functional product team, collaborating across a full value-chain of software products
- Provide technical leadership for the product team to secure delivery of optimized and proven technical solutions
- Explore emerging technologies and methods, sharing opportunities that can help us improve and move our solutions to the next level

Here you can expect to work on problems such as: How do we store and make data accessible for both internal users and external partners, considering proper access levels? How can we enable our teams to leverage data for business and technical decisions? How do we ensure the quality of our products, by providing a visual test framework and updated application framework for our teams?
Your qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within IT or a related discipline or equivalent working experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a technical leadership role in an agile environment
- Extensive experience in designing and creating systems, tools, and solutions to solve both business and technical challenges
- Solid technical knowledge in cloud development
- Hands-on experience implementing modern software architectural principles and patterns (test-driven development, domain-driven design, microservices, etc.)
- Can strike a balance between perfecting software and making rapid delivery
- Capable of understanding a complex business domain and designing for the big picture
- Strong written & verbal communication skills (English)
Will be a plus
- Experience working on backend technologies and development of microservices
- AWS expertise
- Experience with C++
- Familiar with Domain Driven Design
- A creative thinker who can analyze a problem, and see multiple solutions
- A natural desire to keep improving as an individual and as a team member
