We’re on an exciting journey to build an awesome Data platform and we need an inspiring leadership star like you to lead and build a team of technical champions.
You will help bring the LEGO Group into the data age and supports us in becoming a truly data-driven company.

The Data Platform teams is responsible for the LEGO wide data and analytics platforms supporting all users and product teams. The department consists of specialists building, optimizing, running and operating the data platforms and also building customized data tools. The role is based in Billund, Denmark, but for the right candidate we would also be open to UK as a location.

Responsibilities
We are looking to create unifying technology choices and one strong data platform that creates a seamless and self-serving experience for our colleagues.
As part of this role, you will:
- Set the strategic direction for both on-prem and cloud-based solutions
- Build up and lead a team of data champions
- Drive synergies and collaboration between the data platform teams, business users and data product teams on data platform utilization
- Be a member in the Data Office leadership team
- Ensure operational stability of the data platforms
- Own and drive the budget discussions for the data platform
- Facilitate and drive simplification of the data platform area
- Own the Data Platforms with BI, Data Lakes, IOT and China across multiple cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure etc.
Your qualification
From a functional perspective, we imagine you have a combined background between Engineering, Data Science and leadership and have worked with both on-prem and cloud solutions.
You have a strategic mindset and know how to stay on strategy. You are skilled in change management, open to new approaches, patient with people and you have excellent interpersonal skills.
As a leader, you know how to ensure your team is motivated and enabled to succeed and you inspire people to follow you, not by dictating or controlling but thanks to your skill in your craft.
