Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our solutions and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Therefore, we are looking to expand our team in our Technology Software division with more talented Software Developers.
With direct reference to our Head of Software Development, you will be a part of our HCW Systems Software department, which consists of 30 colleagues, who are dedicated to develop the best possible software solutions to our customers. More specific you will be a part of a development team consisting of four experienced and fun bunch of people. Their responsibility is to develop the next head end system for the customers of Kamstrup.
We have a very agile and a startup mindset, where speed from idea to production is crucial, why the code must be of high quality and very testable. We work with some of the latest technologies and develop solutions that improve the ability of utilities to optimize the production and distribution of energy and water.
Responsibilities
Software Developer with focus on the creation of environmental solutions
As our new Software Developer, you will have a key position in developing environmental solutions that creates value to our customers and reduces the water and energy consumption. In cooperation with the rest of the team, you will refine, estimate, develop, test and document the features that we develop to our customers.
The new system currently consists of an advanced backend acting as an API. In the future a frontend will also be developed utilizing this API. You will be part of the scrum team extending the functionalities of the backend to suit the needs of the customers.

Personality matters
We are looking for a committed and ambitious person who is passionate about software development and wants to be a part of an international company that contributes to the green transition. You have a solid theoretical foundation such as Computer Scientist, Engineer or similar, which you completed with good results. Whether you have a few years of experience or is newly graduated is not crucial, the most important thing is that you have the desire and qualifications to develop the best solutions that can support Kamstrup's business. We expect that you have gained experienced with programming in C#, SQL or related DB software through your studies or student job.
As a person, you are ambitious and driven by the desire to develop your professional and personal competences. Being part of an agile team, it comes natural to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems together with your team. With your critical eye and sense for detail, you deliver quality code and take ownership and feel accountable for the team’s results.
In addition, it is a requirement that you master English on a high level – both orally and written.
