Centrica Energy Trading is one of the leading energy trading companies, and with an IT Department consisting of more than 70 highly skilled colleagues, they are more than up for the challenge! Centrica is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join the Smart PPA Team in Aalborg and Copenhagen.
Who do they hope to find and why?
Centrica has started a strategic program of modernizing the PPA Trading Platform within its trading division EM&T. The main objective for the role will be to build that greenfield platform containing main features as PPA contract capture, end to end Asset management, portfolios Risk and PnL management and full contract Life Cycle Management.
You will be deeply involved in designing and developing for both standard and structured PPAs, streaming of Risk and PnL data from Quant model and ETRM systems, managing the renewable certificates inventory and providing the right level of transparency regarding PPA production data, invoicing etc. So, if you have prior experience working on energy trading business and a solid understanding of the PPA contract lifecycle and related data flow YOU can really be of help to Centrica´s team. Understanding of Risk, PnL and quantitative analysis will be an added plus but won't be a deal breaker.
Part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be to work with the analysts in an agile environment to deliver all project outcomes, ensure all requirements are captured for PPA contracts and its pricing terms and align the platform design with the strategic goal of Digital PPA offering. Additionally, you will be managing and maintaining the internal release process and adhering to the strict process of design and architecture and presenting to the Architecture forum.
Your qualification
- C# (experience with the latest language features would be a plus)
- Cloud native environment
- Unit testing and automated testing in general
- Angular, WPF
- ASP.NET WebAPI
- Message queuing, event data and/or logging tools (like RabbitMQ, Serilog, or Humio)
- CI/CD tools (like GitLab, Jenkins, or Octopus)
- NoSQL and SQL databases
Finally experience in low latency, high frequency trading platform buildout would be a huge advantage.
