GetByBus.com - bus ticket booking platform, which is one of the most advanced cloud-based platforms for the coach industry. In addition to the booking platform we also develop various kinds of apps and other cool web platforms.

Position

We are looking for mid/senior experienced, Backend Developers to join our growing R&D team and help us expand our ongoing projects and build new products.

Our ideal candidate will work closely with our developers’ team, to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

Ultimately, they should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs.

If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you.

Tech we use

• Horizontally scalable deployment hosted in the cloud (AmazonWebServices – CDN
• Load Balancing, replication, MQ, S3)
• PHP (Symfony framework) and some Node.js, implementing SOA architecture MySql (Aurora) and Redis
• Phing
• Javascript (react, less, gulp, webpack…)
• Alongside web, we also do native Android development on dedicated hardware

Your mission

• Partner with other colleagues Developers and QA engineers and the Product team, to deliver features for millions of our users worldwide
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure the success of your product, e.g. through roadmap planning, improving quality, proposing & implementing usability improvements, etc
• Follow agile methodology with your team to deliver small end-to-end functionality increments to production several times a week
• Perform code reviews for your colleagues and learn from code review feedback given by others. Be a mentor for our more junior developers
• Nurture the technical state of your product, propose and implement technical improvements

Your qualification

• 3-5 years of experience as a Backend Developer with:
• Modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony
• Relational databases, redis, GIT
• Use OOP principles and patterns to develop maintainable code
• Team player, with initiate and who will step in to help colleagues when needed
• Effective communication in English language

• Scaling in the cloud
• Working with AWS
