Build the next generation of WealthTech
Our client is an ambitious WealthTech startup based in São Paulo, founded by experienced technology leaders who have previously built and scaled some of Latin America's most successful technology companies.
This is a unique opportunity to work side by side with the former CTO of Nubank and one of the founders behind Hyperplane, an AI company acquired by Nubank, while helping build the next generation of wealth management products from the ground up.
The company combines modern software engineering, AI, and financial expertise to help people make better long-term financial decisions—and they're assembling one of the strongest engineering teams in the region to do it.
As one of the early engineers, you'll have a genuine opportunity to influence architecture, engineering standards, infrastructure, and product direction from day one.

What you'll be working on
You'll design and build the backend platform powering a modern wealth management product, including:
- Distributed backend services
- Event-driven architectures
- gRPC and asynchronous APIs
- Infrastructure and cloud services
- Financial integrations
- Identity and authorization systems
- AI-powered engineering and operational tooling
Engineers own services end-to-end—from design and implementation to deployment, observability, and production operations.
Your qualification
- Strong backend engineering experience with Go (additional experience with Java, Python or TypeScript is welcome)
- Experience building distributed systems and microservices
- Production experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, NATS or similar)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi or similar)
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking
Experience in fintech, payments, banking, trading, or other regulated environments is highly valued.
