About Shpock

With Shpock - the boot sale app for beautiful things - you'll find the most beautiful things in your neighborhood and sell your things quickly to other people around you.

Position

• Develop modern and user-friendly websites (main Shpock website and related subsites)
• You will regularly evaluate and test new and emerging technologies to ensure the faster implementation of features
• Together with your team you will write code that is used by millions of users
• Work on bug fixing and improving web application performance
• In every task you have the possibility to bring in your own ideas and thereby shape Shpock

Your qualification

• You have 2+ years experience in professional front-end development
• You have expert knowledge in JavaScript, HTML & CSS
• Strong knowledge of CSS and SCSS
• Experience with version control, such as Git
• You have good knowledge in PHP/OOP
• You have experience in working on high traffic websites
• You have a common understanding of web & mobile applications and current trends
• You are eager to (self) learn new things
• You quickly find new solutions based on requirements
• You are a team player with good written and spoken English skills

Will be a plus

• Experience with new JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular), build tools (such as Gulp) and Webpack module bundler
• Experience with building real time websites
• Knowledge of Node.js and past use of REST APIs
