Whether you want to blog about an upcoming trip, record your baby’s first year by creating a personalised photo book or surprise your friends and family with polaroid prints of your favourite shots - Journi’s got your back.

Position

• Work full time (38.5 h/w) as a member of a passionate, motivated and super international team
• Implement new features for our backend and layouting algorithms
• Work closely with our CTO and extended developer team (backend, web frontend and mobile) and product managers
• Brainstorm, design and develop new features during team sessions
• Give and receive feedback, criticise constructively and improve through feedback from your peers
• Enrich our Journi team with your knowledge

Your qualification

• You have 3+ years of experience with functional programming (Java or Scala)
• Consistent track record of developing backend applications (links to projects or GitHub are welcome!)
• You know how to automate testing and deployment processes
• You have strong communication skills and don’t shy away from presenting and talking in front of a group of people
• You are a self-starter with a strong ‘hands-on’ mentality & passion for solving problems
• You work efficiently, prioritise workloads, and meet critical project deadlines
• You are constantly learning, asking for feedback, and hungry to succeed
• You are legally permitted to work in the EU/Austria (OR have a degree in - Computer Science which is required to apply for an Austrian work permit)
• You are able to relocate to / based in Vienna - the world’s most liveable city!

Will be a plus

• Experience with the following technologies: SQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Docker, Kubernetes
• You have experience working with machine learning algorithms
