Grape is the result of an extensive R&D project, aimed at improving corporate communication. Get more done with a secure enterprise messenger that seamlessly connects your business processes and software environments.
Our mission is to solve complex business problems with elegant, intuitive solutions. We service thousands of happy companies around the world. Our indexAPI search engine processes millions of datasets every day and allows people to search their business faster and easier than ever before.
You’ll work closely with all different team members at Grape to speed up our front-end development to build new features and products. You will be shipping code to thousands of active users every day. You will lead a team of two people (you and another frontend-engineer) and make decision regarding the web-client.
Our engineers are also very comfortable working directly with customers to tackle bugs and answer tricky support questions. It’s important to write code with customers in mind so that we can provide the best experience possible with Grape.
We hope that you’re excited about all the possibilities that come with working at Grape! In addition to our beautiful office close to the city center of Vienna, we also offer the possibility of working remotely. However, we do offer help for your relocation as we want you to feel at home in Vienna. We want you to be happy, inspired and to become the person that you wish to be. You will work with team members around the world and across time zones to build a better culture and product. We organize a couple of company retreats per year to spend quality time with the whole team. Our latest retreats have been a day trip to Bratislava and a full week in the beautiful alps of Tyrol.

We value high code quality in terms of readability, reusability and maintainabilty the same way we value speed and efficiency of development. We prefer composition over inheritance, functional over object oriented.
We value participation in open source. We are not just using open source projects, we try to give some‐ thing back. We encourage developers to release reusable parts of their code under an open source license.
We use two-weekly Scrum sprints and daily standups (in the chat) for planning.
