How do you make our customers happy?
You are a driving force in ‘Loyalty’ where you help customers explore, purchase, use, and renew their bol.com membership. You will mainly focus on our webshop and app. How can we help customers to decide if a bol.com membership is right for them? Initiate the dialogue with customers, teams, and stakeholders and spot opportunities together. Take the lead in designing a unique customer journey – now and in the future. Which innovations would optimize our KPIs and provide the best possible user experience? Find the best possible answer by gathering input from Product Owners, the Visual Designer, Business Analysts, and Engineers from the involved teams.

The biggest challenge
The diversity of our customer-partner matches, and our customers’ and partners’ rapidly evolving preferences require us to refine the user experience continuously. We also need to offer loyal customers a unique experience. We already have subscriptions (Kobo+ and Select) that feature prominently in our customer proposition, but our ambition is to transform these into a broader and unified Loyalty product for bol.com customers. The current challenge is to develop the optimal overarching product vision.
Your responsibilities
As Product Designer Loyalty, you are a ‘forward thinker’ who can formulate a solid strategic vision and crystal clear product goals. You communicate and advocate these with contagious enthusiasm so that everyone is driven to make a real impact on customers. This means managing large and complex projects to successful and seemingly effortless conclusions. When called on to pitch proposals to management, you present your ideas with confidence: your recommendations are backed up by data and persuasive arguments.
Your ability to continuously discover new opportunities for the domain is a testament to your open mind. You are also a great listener and unafraid to question ideas. Challenging is key. As is collaborating, because maximizing the impact of your product entails getting colleagues with different expertises to work together. You also propose new ideas to take our design community to the next level and smoothly implement those ideas. You teach colleagues from other disciplines the finer points of the design thinking process. And you always (!) encourage colleagues to view your product from the customers’ perspective. Getting and keeping stakeholders (mainly Business Development) onboard is a daily part of the job. This often entails finding common ground between their needs and customer requirements (challenging because they don’t always match).
