Position

You are a software engineering specialist, fascinated by tech stacks and not afraid of process-management or DevOps tasks.

What you move?

The network team will develop best network engineering practices to proactively improve quality and reliability of network services, while supporting the transformation with scalable, automated and resilient cloud networks. Together with your team mates, you will perform discovery and documentation of underlying networks of existing overlay applications/services by collaborating with the Cloud Transformation, Security and Mission 100 teams in TDE and define secure, reliable, transparent network migration patterns & solutions for cloud transformation. You will, as well, collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Network HBU teams to refine & apply architecture & engineering rules of target networks from design, capacity, performance and monitoring perspectives to ensure high-quality network services for Cloud Transformation success. We, as a team, will serve as the center of expertise in network engineering area in DOS and become the crucial link between DOS and other Network teams in Swisscom.

Your qualification

• Degree in telecommunications or computer science
• 5-7 years of proven experience in Service Provider/Data Center networks, preferably holding CCIE/JNCIE or CCNP certification as minimum requirement
• Profound hands on experience with L2/L3 network technologies, such as : BGP, IGPs, MPLS, VPN as well as (good to have) skills on Security & Traffic Engineering technologies (Firewall, Load Balancers)
• Good experience in network architecture, design, implementation, migration and operations areas
• Hands on experience with network automation tools and monitoring systems, as well as provisioning protocols such as NETCONF/YANG
• Practical knowledge in scripting / coding for network workflows automation
• Interested in cloud and software defined networks with DevOps mindset, willing to develop skills on Cloud Transformation area
• Strong communication skills and business fluent English skills
