Position

As a Database Administration (SQL) specialist you will take responsibility of the engineering, management and design of Database Administration related to our Infrastructure systems and servers; focussing both on operations in the present as well as performance in the (near) future.

Your responsibilities are:

• You will be part of a team, maximizing uptime and performance of our Applications and services delivered to our internal clients across the globe 
• Engineering, design and management of 30+ Database Instances including backups, restoration and disaster recovery and reporting 
• Day to day operations including configuration settings, changes and troubleshooting on SQL database administration
• Analyze and optimize queries and advice internal development teams 
• Create procedure and supportive documentation 
• Build and support SSRS reports 
• Build and support SSIS packages 
• Build and support SSAS environment (for internal IT only) and be an advisor for the DWH-team
• Guide and coach others

Your qualification

• Experience with Database Administration for MSSQL Server 2016
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems (database integrity, performance, blocking and deadlocking, replication, log shipping, connectivity, security etc.)
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools 
• Experience with backups, restore- and recovery models
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS and .NET (C#)
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA), Clustering and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
• Experience in automation using scripts
• Knowledge of Very Large Databases (VLDBs) administration and maintenance
• Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics 
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria: experience in MCTS, MCITP, MVP: Certification is a plus 
• You are analytical, pro-active and think out of the box while providing insights on how to continuously improve the environment 
• Strong presentation skills and good interpersonal communications skills
• Positive attitude 
• English proficiency is a must, Dutch proficiency is a ‘plus’

• You will receive a competitive salary based on a 40h work week, dependent on your level of education and work experience 
• You will be offered a contract for a period of one year with the prospect of an indefinite contract
