Position

As part of our scale-up plan, we are looking for an experienced Lead Data engineer to establish our data Engineering strategy and plan. We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to lead our Data Engineering initiatives.

You have a positive attitude towards exploring innovative possibilities, hereby developing your knowledge on Data Engineering best practices and simultaneously implementing these. You know how to empower and grow individual talents in the team that you will be hiring.
To succeed in this Lead Data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the entire data platform by adopting the best practices of the Infrastructure-as-a-code methodology
• Create and maintain data pipelines
• Take data-oriented projects from start to finish, including requirements, scope, architecture, development, releases and maintenance
• Help implement data governance and data discoverability
• Help data scientists to run and manage their ML/analytics models in production
• Drive code quality throughout the data team
• Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development best practices and, new technologies

Your qualification

• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design
• Great numerical and analytical skills
