Position

Are you a Frontend Developer with a strong affinity with data analysis and 3D visualization? In this role you will take the lead in developing a new front end for Data Analysis and Visualization environment (DaVis) that enables users to analyze the large and complex data sets produced by scientific simulation tools.

What your role as a Front-End Developer (2D & 3D scientific visualizations) looks like

Your main responsibility will be to develop a new frontend for DaVis that is seamlessly integrated in the current frontend. This contains many tools, such as interactive 3D visualizations of the simulations and graphs for quantitative analysis. These tools are currently not fully integrated and that is where you come in. You will be act as the linking pin between the Front-end team and the Davis Team, creating a seamless experience for the clients. Ideally you have some affinity with science and some understanding of the challenges that come with working with large and complex datasets. You will take the lead in developing the new DaVis frontend, but work closely with other teams to develop the best solution for our clients. You are able to learn quickly and willing to contribute to the development in all its facets.

Your qualification

• 3+ years of experience as frontend developer, preferably related to data analysis
• Skilled in React, or similar JavaScript framework
• Knowledgeable in web-based visualization, such as Three.js, WebGL, etc.

• Storybook and/or Figma
• Automated UI and software testing
