Position

As an Industrialization Engineer – Hardware you will take an important role in the successful introduction of new/existing products into Contract Manufacturing Partners. You will work with cross-functional teams like Product Management, Electrical- Mechanical-, Test- and Firmware-Engineering, Quality, Operations and Contract Manufacturers, to develop and implement new product introductions. You will be the main point of contact to our Contract Manufacturers and responsible for the alignment on/release of Technical Data Packages.

Responsibilities

• Manage/introduce new or existing products to new or existing Contract Manufacturing Partners
• Ownership of C-sample phase of product development (industrialization phase)
• Process development: translating product and design requirements to process requirements
• Writing or reviewing PFMEA
• Key player in Continuous Improvement Process, between and together with Engineering and Sustaining
• Work with Contract Manufacturing Partners, Quality, Development and Sustaining department(s) on process implementation and verification - PPAP
• Writing or reviewing SOP’s
• Writing or reviewing production test requirements
• Validation of production samples, processes and tests
• Manage/introduce product improvements at Contract Manufacturers via clear change management procedures 
• Acquire product expertise from the organisation to represent Technical Data Package (TDP) to Contract Manufacturers
• Prepare and guide a fluid product handover to Sustaining Engineering

Your qualification

• Minimum BSc degree in technical field, Electrical or Mechanical degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing products, Process Engineering, Automotive Engineering or NPI Engineering in high volume hardware (electronics or mechanical) manufacturing environment
• Experience with PFMEA, Process flow charts
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma Methodology, takt time calculation
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and component suppliers
• Experience with DFM, DFA
• Experience with Engineering Change Management process
• Experience working with a PLM system
• Knowledge of tooling, molding is a plus
• Understand product manufacturability and testability
• Experience in the EV industry, automotive or electrical industry (nice to have)
• Willing and ability (valid driving licence) to travel (~10%)
