Lingokids is an online language educational platform for kids. We adopt the Netflix model to help children learn the English language. A Premium subscription to Lingokids not only provides access to unlimited educational games, apps, videos and other content on the platform, but also provides live video tutoring sessions with professional English language teachers.

Position

Our team is based in Madrid and includes a great group of (Ruby, Unity, Redis/MySQL, iOS, Android, Javascript, React) engineers and talented product designers. We have a solid product and big plans for improvement and scale. You want to take on big challenges and are passionate about building an educational service for children that reaches millions of families around the world.

Your qualification

• Relentless in finding simple, elegant solutions to complex problems
• 5+ years experience creating, fixing, maintaining, and expanding mobile apps
• Javascript/ES6 (experience with TypeScript/Flow and modern javascript build systems a plus)
• Experience with React, React Native, or other modern Javascript application frameworks
• You understand the javascript event loop, promises, and lexical scope
• You understand functional programming, composition, currying, etc
• You’re comfortable working without jQuery
• GIT version control (good knowledge)
• Experience working at a fast-paced, small technology company (<50 employees)
• Highly autonomous; Strong decision-making and execution with imperfect information
• High motivation to learn and grow
• High level of English
