Position

At Typeform, we’re thinking about the future of data collection. Will it be a voice? AR/VR? Perhaps fax will make a comeback?

To get there, we need the best tools so we can raise the bar for quality across our product. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer in Test to head up our tooling team. You’ll create tools to help engineering teams develop, test, debug, and get software out the door quickly.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Design and implement testing tools for our projects, leading a dedicated tooling team that helps other teams achieve testing excellence
• Coach product teams on how to improve their implementation of testing engineering principles
• Help teams understand and set up performance metrics and tests
• Work with Engineering to design quality metrics and give us the tools to monitor and measure them
• Contribute to the testing vision. Share knowledge with fellow test engineers
• Promote testing best practices in Engineering
• Try to beat the high score on the arcade machine we built

Your qualification

• You have technical leadership experience in cross-functional teams
• You are experienced in testing both monoliths and microservices architectures
• You have hands-on experience, which means you code on a daily basis using engineering principles. You can apply these skills and coach others
• We run tests in Cucumber, and we use Ruby, Go, and React in our services and APIs. Familiarity with any of them would be a real plus
• You’ve built software solutions using CI/CD processes. Our stack includes Docker, Travis, and Jenkins
• You know how to identify test needs and implement them into the proper testing levels such as unit, functional, integration, etc.
• You genuinely care about the quality of the product and testing
• You build strong relationships because you’re friendly and approachable
