Position

Our Payments team is looking for a seasoned product manager with a strong knowledge of the creator economy and strong technical skills to develop products and features that help users transact and earn on our platform. This role requires prior experience with payments on web / SaaS products and in-app purchases on mobile.

As a Senior Product Manager in the Billing & Payments team, you will define the experience for millions of creators and fans who joined BandLab to create, grow, earn, and support each other.

You will report directly to the Head of Product and work closely with the executive team on developing products and defining processes related to billing, payments, and payouts. You should be an expert in product management and cross-functional communications and be able to digest multiple inputs and navigate complex tradeoffs between multiple parties.

Key focus areas and responsibilities

• Drive the development of the internal setup that covers customer billing, payment processing, and payouts
• Translate the needs of multiple stakeholders into product requirements for the engineering team
• Own the product backlog and organize epics and stories into quarterly roadmaps
• Strategize, plan and monitor product development across sprints to balance resources and keep track of delivery via weekly check-ins
• Organize product requirements via “digestible” user stories with clear acceptance criteria, wireframes, and event flows

Your qualification

• 5+ years in product management with at least 2+ years of experience working on consumer web and mobile products with subscription and in-app purchase experience
• Experience with customer billing, online marketplaces, payments-related products, and a solid understanding of financial transaction processing systems 
• Effective communication and ability to gather, process inputs from stakeholders, and convert them into deliverables
• Ability to break down complex requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Ability to inspire and rally a team around vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Expertise in prioritization and roadmapping
• Strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills

Will be a plus

• A passion for music and music production knowledge is a big plus
• Experience working with or integrating payment processors and gateways like Stripe and PayPal
