Your challenge: Help our teams move fast! We’re providing, maintaining, and developing the platforms and tools to enable a DevOps culture and the best possible workflows for Engineers and Data Scientists. If solving technical challenges and continuous learning excites you, trivago should be your first choice. In this role, you’ll be joining a new and small team being created to collaborate with software developers and data engineers on internal tools.

Our atmosphere is laid-back and working times are flexible. Your scope will be broad, covering deployments, monitoring, logging, managing our Kubernetes clusters and working with data. If you like freedom to make your own decisions and use new technologies then this role is for you!

How you’ll make an impact:

• Drive a DevOps mindset and culture by developing the best workflows for Software Developers, Data Engineers and Data Scientists
• Build, test and ship your own and the developers’ code as well as data science workflows to dev, stage and prod multiple times a day using CI/CD pipelines
• Automating workflows and creating own solutions using Python / Go
• Building a Data science Platform with Airflow / Spark / JupyterLab
• Develop new tools or contribute to existing ones. We actively contribute to the open source ecosystem in projects such as rancher/k3d or tumblr/k8s-sidecar-injector

Your qualification

• A top engineer: you are tech savvy and master Kubernetes both as an admin and user
• Previous hands on coding experience (beyond simple scripts — one of Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, Rust)
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and managing containers/Kubernetes Clusters
