Position

• Design and Development of simulation models using UML and C++ and the SIMSAT/SIMULUS ESA/ESOC simulation infrastructure
• Design and Development of simulation infrastructure using C++
• Writing of technical documentation in English language
• Attendance of meetings with the customer (English)
• Reporting to team leader / project manager

Your qualification

• Degree educated SW Engineer
• C++ programming language++ programming language
• Object oriented programming
• Object oriented design and UML
• Fluency in spoken and written English

Will be a plus

• SMP2 standard
• SIMSAT/SIMULUS suite
• Spacecraft Operations and ECSS-E-70 (Packet Utilisation Standard)
• Linux command line
• Source Code Control System (Git)
• Usage of Maven, Jenkins, Nexus
• Automatic testing using CppUnit
• JavaScript programming language
• Java programming language

This is a job for a creative Engineer looking for a flat-hierarchy environment that values your innovative and technical expertise.

The successful applicant will become a member of the Spacecraft Simulators Section in our Simulation Astrodynamics and Training division, based in Darmstadt.

The successful applicant will develop models of spacecraft subsystems using the most modern techniques and standards. He/she will work in close contact with the ESA and EUMETSAT flight control teams gaining a deep understanding of spacecraft design and operations.
