About Bonial
The CDP team is improving the heart of our company - the content delivery engine. Think of an analogy in the car industry, most of what automotive companies focus on is a) design and b) their engine. The CDP team builds Bonial’s power engine, BUT the difference to the car industry is, they are doing that while our "car engine" is already racing at 300km/h on the Autobahn. So, this is a very complex process.
Position
- You are part of an independent and cross-functional development team sharing and ensuring system engineer’s best practices
- Sharing knowledge, developing solutions, consulting on operating systems and building the best CI/CD and deployment system for the team, thus closing the gap between plain development and system engineering
- You are responsible for the smooth operation of the Bonial platform, which operates in several countries including Germany, France and USA
- For new projects, you will kickstart the infrastructure by using tools like AWS and Terraform
- You will use the AWS service portfolio in order to deal with scalability, high availability and monitoring strategies
- You always strive for automation, monitoring, logging and sharing your results with others following practices like Chatops
Your qualification
- You already worked in an agile environment and are familiar with Scrum and/or Kanban
- You love to work with Linux based systems
- You look forward to work with AWS services
- You are passionate about configuration management systems (Puppet or Chef)
- You are familiar with Apache httpd and Tomcat
- You feel at home in the shell and can script with languages like Bash/Python/Ruby/...
- Nagios/Icinga is in your monitoring portfolio
- Knowledge in virtualization technologies like KVM
- You are fluent in spoken and written English
Will be a plus
- CDN experience via Akamai
- Experience in PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Knowledge of German
