Your qualification

As our Frontend focused Software Engineer, you will be self-motivated, full of ideas as well as energy and drive the engineering of Babbel’s new products and services.

So, from one kind of language to another, we are looking to talk with passionate and dedicated Software Engineers who speak our language….JavaScript. Of course, we understand that with any language comes dialect, and we particularly enjoy listening to React.JS and Angular.JS dialects. Polyglots who also speak Ruby/Rails are also welcome to join our party too. Experience in JS and Ruby testing frameworks (we use Mocha) using BDD/TDD as well as solid knowledge in REST-based API. Bonus points are on offer for those with AWS services experience, or knowledge of other server side frameworks like Sinatra or Node.js.

More broadly, we are looking for smart, passionate engineers who can share in our goal of widening access to language learning. You care about maintaining a clean code base and strive for technical excellence in the build of our product.Above all else, you are always personally learning and developing, and you have the maturity and skill base to make timely and sustainable individual contributions. And finally, excellent verbal and written English skills are must.
