Position
Your challenge
- Design and implementation of our Python-based REST API
- Working on our storage layer based on MongoDB
- Working with our technology stack, which includes Pyramid, Colander, Cornice, Nginx, OpenResty, Lua, Buildout and Robot Framework
- Spearheading transition of legacy processes to continuous integration deployment, using docker, Jenkins, and Gerrit
- Auditing code submissions and participating in code reviews using Gerrit
- Improving architectural integrity of our storage, engine and web interface layers
- Transitioning legacy code to python3
- Participating in Scrum activities
Main requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or relevant professional experience
- Several years of professional experience with Python development
- Experience with test definitions and test-driven development
- For a Senior position experience with refactoring is required
- Good command of English (fluent in written and spoken)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creative, highly motivated self-starter and learner
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and new products
Desired Skills and Experience:
An ideal Senior candidate will have solid experience with some of the following aspects:
- Web development and HTTP REST APIs
- Web Architecture, interfacing with storage layers and external APIs
- Writing, formatting, maintaining and publishing documentation for code using Sphinx
- Dockerizing applications
- Auditing and reviewing code using tools such as Gerrit
