The EDQM also plays a crucial role in the areas of blood transfusion, organ, tissue and cell transplantation and in developing and setting consumer health standards, such as for cosmetics and food contact materials.

IT Testing assistants perform a combination of the following tasks:

• participating in the development and maintenance of testing plans (functional, system, integration, regression) to ensure the high quality of the applications provided to user
• executing and documenting testing in various test environments, keeping user experience in mind
• identifying defects and suggesting improvements where necessary; confirming that corrections and applications work as intended, prior to go-live and roll-out
• contributing to the preparation of user support documentation and other types of communication, e.g., training videos, FAQ, etc
• responding to queries from users (both internal and external) on the use of various IT applications and tools
