Xena’s Vulcan Layer 4-7 product line is used for stateful end-to-end testing of network appliances incl. switches, firewalls, routers, NAT routers, proxies, load-balances, bandwidth shapers and more.
Position
Xena is expanding the development activities on both their product lines and in order to strengthen the R&D function, the company is looking for a dedicated, experienced FPGA/SW Developer for High Performance Ethernet Test Equipment.
A new FPGA/SW Developer will be a part of the development team and participate in all phases of product development. You shall develop products that can generate and analyse statefull network traffic at wire speed and simulating millions of users.
Every day you will have the possibility to contribute to the improvement of the working processes and tool chain within SW Development for the benefit of productivity and quality of Xena Networks development.
The position refers to the VP of Engineering, and you will be a part of a small dedicated development team with a high team spirit and a high level of professionalism.

Your qualification
- Engineering background (candidate- or bachelor degree) within electronic or similar technical background
- More than 5 – 10 years experience with FPGA design as well as SW, C/C++ in a Linux environment, from the electronic industry, e.g. datacom or telecom
- Experience with FPGA design (VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog)
- Experience with synthesis and simulation (preferably Altera/Quartus, or Xilinx)
- Experience in SW development, programming in C or C++ in a Linux environment
- Experience with scripting – Python, Perl, TCL
- Good knowledge of English
Will be a plus
- Experience with Datacommunication, Ethernet and / or TCP/IP
- Experience in implementation of network protocols
