Are you passionate about Azure or AWS? Do you enjoy building, designing, maintaining, and enabling the newest IT solutions both in the cloud, on-premises, and hybrid in an agile environment? If yes, you might be the person we are looking for!
We’re looking for Cloud Engineers at different seniorities to help us advance our Cloud solutions across Novo Nordisk.
As Cloud Engineer, you will play a central role in implementing and improving scalable solutions for our business areas, leveraging our digital transformation and data science platforms. We take pride in being experts in IT infrastructure and platforms, and at the same time having experience and understanding of how our researchers use the platforms, data, and compute power we make available.
You will work closely with data scientists, architects, product owners, project managers, delivery teams, and business owners to meet their needs while adhering to NN standards and compliance procedures. Our scientific users are situated globally, and you will be working in an international environment with colleges around the globe. Your tasks could include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing actively to the development of our cloud solutions, from data engineering projects to data infrastructure, including ongoing platform development, with minimal guidance
- Contributing to technical guidance to feasibility/scope assessments for leadership regarding the implementation and adoption of cloud technologies
- Ensuring that the products you support are continuously improving in code, security, and reliability. These improvements should be spread across the teams you interact with so that you lift the bar of our product standards
- Coach and share knowledge with your colleagues through demos, co-development, and sparring, ensuring that expertise is spread across the team to enable collaborative ways of working
- Continuously develop your professional knowledge and skills through participation in external industry events such as seminars, conferences, and publishing activities
Your qualification
As an ideal candidate, you have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with contemporary cloud technologies, preferably Azure or AWS. On top of that, you can tick off most of the following competencies:
- You have a good understanding and preferably experience with DevOps principles and agile methods which involves automation, application of various operations tools, infrastructure/configuration as code, CI/CD amongst others
- Strong skills with some of the following programming languages: Python, Rust, Go, or TypeScript. Experience writing and refactoring code with these
- The ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion, and communicate with impact to various stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise
No matter your experience, it's essential you have the right mindset, open to learning and applying new skills within cloud engineering. As our corporate language is English, we also expect you to be fluent both in writing and spoken.
