MovieStarPlanet ApS is the company behind the games and social networks for kids aged 8-13 years - MovieStarPlanet, BooniePlanet and BlockStarPlanet. In the virtual worlds each user designs their own MovieStar avatar, BlockStar and Boonie, which are used to play the games, engage and have fun with other friends. In the games there is a wide spread of options to dress-up, chat with friends, design looks, making movies and scrapbooks, design clothes, building robots and play mini games.
Position
As a Senior QA Engineer you will help us define and implement the automation tools and technical solutions required to ensure a smooth transition for the millions of kids that count on their favorite game being online and stable.
You will spend a lot of your time scripting, coding and tooling, but also working closely with a diverse cross-disciplinary team, passionate about building a solid new core for our current and future games, using Unity and .Net Core.
You will use your analytical, creative and logical skills to find issues in planning and development of our products and provide a more technical approach to testing our products across mobile and web platforms.
You will spread your technical know-how to the other testers in the company to enhance our current products with solid functionality, performance and user experience. You will have the opportunity to influence your own work and collaborate with highly skilled colleagues, utilizing strengths and complimenting each other to the fullest.
About the Team
You will join a team of very experienced, engaged developers where ownership, autonomy, helpfulness and collaboration are valued highly. We all care deeply about the quality standard and maintainability of the platform we are building and like to spar with our users who sit close by. We also enjoy talking about games by the coffee machine :)
Your qualification
You are a team player and you are always curious when it comes to solving complex problems. You are very proactive and can independently see and solve issues in our development or suggest tools that are needed. You are a realist that can accept things not being perfect, but will continually and without fail, champion your cause. Your communication skills are excellent, and you thrive working both independently and in a team. Finally, you function great with agile methodologies.
You bring in new competencies, knowledge and experience, and contribute to the growth of our team.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with Test automation is a must
- Experience working with any coding language, namely C# or similar
- Experience working with scripting languages, such as python or similar
- Experience Load-Testing distributed systems
- Have a systematic and logical approach, while maintaining creativity and the ability to work independently
- Always looking for ways to improve your team's work, testing tools and methodologies
- Good communication skills as you will need to work closely with many parts of the company
- Your English skills are excellent - verbally and in writing
Will be a plus
- Interest and experience with social media/games
- Experience with Continuous Integration
- ISTQB certification
- Experience with Unity
- Knowledge of Agile development processes is a plus
