Position
LEO Pharma has embarked on a very ambitious journey to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. Responsibilities
As our new AWS Cloud Solution Architect, you will work closely with the Cloud Lead Architect, the Azure Solution Architect and other relevant Cloud resources and stakeholders, playing a global strategic role delivering new Cloud IT solutions. We need your expertise to ensure the correct governance, use and implementation of Cloud services in LEO Pharma, where we aim to operate and implement everything as code. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Manage stakeholders and their expectations, advising them on the right solutions in correspondence with the business strategic objectives and technology strategy
- Work closely with our IT security, IT operations, product owners and the other IT departments to ensure compliance and alignment
- Review designs and assist in creating guidelines for external collaborators and suppliers
- Support us in staying relevant by regularly evaluating existing and upcoming architecture patterns, best practices and emerging technology
- Contribute to our architecture strategy, underlying strategic initiatives and roadmap
- Helping mature our Cloud services, processes and templates in close collaboration with our entire architecture team
- Recognize relevant cloud services that could be useful for the support of the applications on the cloud
- Provide an escalation function, assisting support and delivery departments in resolving complex enquiries
- Creating and documenting large and complex solution designs in global projects
- Take active part in vendor selections recognizing the relevant cloud services that could be useful for the support of the applications on the cloud
Your qualification
You have at least five years of experience working with Cloud including:
- Proven knowledge of solution architecture (we are inspired by TOGAF) with commercial experience in an IT environment whilst working in a cloud or infrastructure-based role
- Highly experienced with AWS. Being familiar with Microsoft 365 and Azure is a plus
- A good level of IT and business knowledge
- Knowledge in designing distributed applications and systems in the cloud
- The ability to express knowledge in terms appropriate to the audience which includes senior executives, IT managers and end-users
- Able to lead technical workshops to understand the requirements of our clients and shape these into system requirements
- Excellent presentation and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to deliver, manage and monitor results
Founded within your business acumen you can identify needs and improvements, conceptualize and communicate proposals for changes – and coordinate development and implementation with external consultants.
As Solution Architect and gate keeper you will need a certain level of authority including the ability to back your decisions with solid and easy-understandable arguments. In combination with your understanding of the mechanisms in a large organization you know when to stand your ground and when to compromise (in dialogue with strong stakeholder personalities in high level positions). As you will work in an organization in rapid development you must thrive in an environment where the only constant is change. This require stamina and energy.
