Position
Epam is looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer for their Prague office to make the team even stronger.
Epam is looking for experienced Ruby on Rails Developers for several projects in the FinTech industry. The customer is a software vendor for a core banking solution with a modern web UI and apps for iOS and Android. Epam supports the customer in developing the core system as well as running integration projects with their customers. These customers are based in Europe, the Middle East and northern Africa.
Your qualification
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
- 2+ years of professional experience in development and implementation of web applications
- Excellent Ruby on Rails Skills 4.x/edge
- Test driven development with Cucumber and RSpec
- Superb knowledge of Ruby 2.3/edge
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL, etc.)
- Experience with complex applications as well as knowledge of the MVC framework
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery)
- Agile development workflow
Will be a plus
- Experience with Mac OSX
- Linux/OS X Shell
- SASS/SCSS style sheets
- Experience in high-traffic and high-availability systems
- Open source projects or gems
- Knowledge of development for mobile (Android/iOS/Phonegap, etc.)
