Position

• Ensure database system availability in a 24×7 environment
• Out of hours on-call support
• Maintain sound backup and recovery procedures
• Identify potential issues and raise business awareness before impact to the business
• Maintain and enhance database maintenance tasks
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain multiple SQL environments adhering to company standards and best practices
• Implement and maintain database security meeting Corporate IT security guidelines
• Troubleshoot performance and concurrency issues
• Database design and architecture
• Provide guidance to development teams
• Design and implement HA and DR solution architectures
• Support application code releases

Your qualification

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA (Replication, Log shipping, Clustering, Availability Groups, Mirroring)
• Experience with design and development of databases with MSSQL servers
• Experience with high-volume data tables and highly concurrent transactions
• Very good command of both spoken and written English
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Willingness to learn and improve skills to adapt to newer technologies

Will be a plus

• SAN – storage, Windows Server
• SQL Server CLR
• Issues tracking software and version control systems
• Powershell
