Position

We work in small highly collaborative agile teams that typically includes Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Analysts and a Product Manager. You and your team will have a clear mission and ownership of an important outcome that supports Klarna and our customers.

At Klarna we optimise for quality, flow, fast feedback and time to market. To do this we focus on end-to-end ownership, continuous improvement, testing, monitoring and experimentation. We aim for teams that are inclusive, helpful, and have a strong sense of ownership for the things they build.

Technologies you would be working with: Java, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kafka, Kafka streams and AWS.

Your qualification

  • Technical background in one or more languages (Java, Scala, Erlang, Python) and one of the following:
  • Hadoop, Spark
  • Key-value stores, relational databases
  • Kafka, Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, Flink
  • Have successfully applied and are enthusiastic about Agile/XP practices (Pair/Mob programming, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and move between different tech stacks
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Will be a plus

  • Experience with real-time credit and fraud or related areas
  • DevOps and Continuous Delivery Experience
  • Familiarity with cloud based and DevOps technologies and tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
