The tech: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Redux, RxJS and Ramda
You will take responsibility for the web interface in our Network Devices and make sure that it looks and feels the same throughout our portfolio of products. This means working with both in-house developed and third-party products.
You will join a department that is focusing on development of System Devices, Niche Cameras and Accessories. Our work is project based and include employees with different areas of expertise - software, image quality, mechanics, electronics, industrial design, production technology etc. You will be solely responsible for web development in your team, but you will have a network of colleagues with similar roles in other parts of the organization that you can turn to. To create the best possible user experience you will collaborate closely with UX designers. The main focus of the development will be extending existing solutions and occasionally develop new ones.
Your team is a small group that consist of both senior and junior colleagues, four of which are working with software, both embedded and sourced. These four will be your closest colleagues. The products we develop now are often different from the previous products that we worked on. This is a challenge that gives the team diversity in the work flow, but it also means that we need to be innovative and find new ways of doing things.
The person we are looking for loves working with web development! You probably have a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant field and have worked as a developer for at least a couple of years. That said, it is your skills and passion that are most important to us. We believe that you have skills in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS. Any experience working with React, Redux, RxJS, Ramda or similar is a plus.
As you will be the only web developer working in our team you need to feel comfortable with making decisions and reaching out to other parts of the organization to find the information and answers you need. The products developed in our team are unique and not developed by any other team at Axis, so you need to be curious, eager to learn and ready to come up with suggestions for solutions and improvements.
Openness might be a buzz word in other companies, but at Axis this is the core of who we are. Our most important asset is our ability to cooperate and learn from each other. We have realized that great ideas can come from anywhere. This is why we encourage everybody to contribute and innovate. If you are a person that likes to get involved and make a difference and nudge the world a little bit in the right direction, you will find a home with us.
We want you to enjoy working with us! Therefore, we offer great benefits, e.g. flexible working hours, classic Swedish fika on Fridays and breakfast every day, corporate bonus, physical training grants, insurances, your very own Axis bicycle and relocation assistance with home finding and settling in support if needed.
Our headquarters are based in Lund, a University city in the south of Sweden. Lund is located only 40 minutes by car from the airports in Malmö and Copenhagen and just a short train ride from both cities.
Sweden has an inclusive welfare system, with social benefits like long parental leave, free schooling, affordable childcare, nearly free healthcare and good sick leave benefits - just to name a few.
Communication and all issues related to the position are curated by Copenhagen Capacity.
