Our online design tool allows you to create your very own case. You can upload photos from your last holiday, your favorite quote or your company logo - the choice is yours. If you've got the creativity, we can make the case.

We also spread our own wings to help you find the freshest designs for you and your new case. By working together with artists from all over the world, we are able to offer you an incredibly diverse range of designs to choose from. Be ready for bright colors, abstract patterns and urban vibes!

Position

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design, with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer, and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. This is a contract-to-hire position aimed at candidates interested in living in Berlin.

  • Develop new user-facing features with reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Write and maintain automated unit and acceptance tests
  • Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability and maintainability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members, stakeholders and Product Owner
  • Working on REST APIs and / or use them

Your qualification

  • Strong experience in web based front-end development (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS)
  • You are always up-to-date with the JavaScript ecosystem, libraries and frameworks in general
  • You know how to use libraries or frameworks like jQuery, Angular.js, React.js, Backbone.js and Vanilla.js
  • You are able to manipulate the DOM with or without JavaScript
  • Programming in an asynchronous fashion is something natural for you
  • You believe that the backend should provide data to the client-side, but no HTML
  • Experience with server-side CSS pre-processing, such as LESS and SASS
  • You are familiar with build tools like Grunt, Gulp and NPM scripts
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • Good English Skills

Will be a plus

  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, including Gimp or Photoshop
  • Knowledge about Node.js, Require.js, AMD, closures and modular design
  • Mobile first, responsive web design and fluid layouts
  • Good understanding of client-side rendering, using Handlebars, Mustache or plain JavaScript

What we offer

We offer you the opportunity to be part of an international team who is not afraid of learning on a everyday basis. You will have the possibility to experiment with new technologies and the freedom to choose your own equipment and software (PC, Mac, etc.) in a supportive environment where proposals for change and suggestions for improvements are encouraged. In addition, we can offer you flexible working hours, an informal working environment with flat hierarchy, and a competitive salary. You will also enjoy our BBQ’s and events together with the caseable team.
