Originally from Ukraine, later based in Poland, he never imagined that a few short business trips to Cyprus would turn into a life-changing relocation that helped him rediscover balance, sunshine, and a new rhythm of life.<\/p>\n

He is currently leading the teams behind Mobile App Platform, User Profile & Privacy, and Customer Success Excellence. Why Cyprus?<\/h2>\n

\u201cAt first, I was just traveling for short business trips. But after a while, I realized it\u2019s all in one package: amazing weather, the sea, and just one hour away \u2014 the mountains. You can go from swimming to hiking on the same day. People here are incredibly friendly to newcomers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anton\u2019s first impressions of the island quickly grew into something deeper \u2014 a new lifestyle that blended professional growth with the kind of daily joy he hadn\u2019t experienced before.<\/p>\n

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about relocating for work?<\/h2>\n

\u201cJust go for it.
Be open-minded. Yes, the culture feels slower at first compared to the continent \u2014 but it\u2019s not a bad thing. It actually teaches you how to relax.\u201d<\/p>\n

He smiles, recalling a phrase every newcomer quickly learns:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIf a Cypriot says it\u2019ll be ready in an hour \u2014 it\u2019ll be ready in a week.
Siga Siga \u2014 slowly, slowly \u2014 that\u2019s how things go here, and it works.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBack in Poland, I was always rushing,\u201d he adds. \u201cHere, I learned how to breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n

New hobbies & lifestyle<\/h2>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for Anton to notice that Cyprus naturally pushes you outdoors.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI wish I knew earlier how many hobbies I could pick up here. The environment pushes you to move, explore, and have fun.<\/i><\/b> I even started riding motorcycles \u2014 and now I\u2019m thinking about joining a European racing school! Cyprus even has its own racing track.\u201d<\/p>\n

From mountain twists to coastal drives, his weekends are now filled with adrenaline, sunshine, and a deep sense of freedom.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the most ridiculous thing you packed?<\/h2>\n

\u201cWinter clothes. All of them. They took half the suitcase and I\u2019ve never used it.\u201d \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n

Lesson learned: less is more when the weather is this good!<\/p>\n

Bureaucracy & admin life<\/h2>\n

Relocating often sounds complicated, but in Anton\u2019s case, it was refreshingly smooth.<\/p>\n


\u201cHonestly? It\u2019s so easy. The process here is way less strict than in Poland. You can just go and talk to people \u2014 and they actually try to help you. Welltech handled almost everything for me, so I just had one 30 mins meeting to get my unique number. That\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lost in translation moments<\/h2>\n

Anton laughs when talking about his first cultural surprises in Cyprus.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of them were about timing,\u201d he says. \u201cWhen someone tells you, \u2018Come tomorrow,\u2019<\/i> that\u2019s actually a polite no.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n

It took him a few tries to decode the local rhythm.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I always agree on a specific day \u2014 and everything runs smoothly.\u201d<\/p>\n

He smiles, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce you stop fighting the pace and go with the flow, life here becomes a lot easier \u2014 and a lot more fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

When did you realize \u2018this is home\u2019?<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe first day we landed \u2014 it was hot and sunny, while it was raining in Poland. We got off the plane in jackets and immediately changed clothes at the airport. That\u2019s when it hit me: this is not a vacation anymore \u2014 this is life – we better get used to this!\u201d<\/p>\n

Anton smiles, explaining how time feels different on the island:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe seasons blur. You lose track of time because it\u2019s just one beautiful day after another.\u201d<\/p>\n

Would you recommend relocating to Cyprus?<\/h2>\n

\u201cAbsolutely. I don\u2019t regret it for a second. I\u2019m naturally an overachiever \u2014 always working hard. But Cyprus helps me slow down, enjoy the moment, and still stay productive.<\/p>\n

I could have never imagined starting my day with a swim in the sea before heading to the office. Now it\u2019s normal.<\/p>\n

Sometimes I still feel like there is so much to discover here \u2014 and I love that feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
